The Youth of the Centrist Democrat International (YCDI) acts as the official youth forum of the IDC–CDI, providing its member parties with a global platform to promote the development of young leaders. Its mission is closely aligned with that of the IDC–CDI, aiming to foster political innovation and collaboration within a united network of centrist youth organizations. The YCDI’s work is guided by three central tenets: (1) the defense of *Democracy*, (2) the respect for *Human Rights*, and (3) the empowerment of political youth.
Over the years, the YCDI has organized multiple events and conferences within the broader framework of the IDC–CDI, serving as a space for dialogue, training, and international cooperation among young leaders. While its activities trace back to various initiatives in previous years, the YCDI was formally established as a recognized structure of the organization during the IDC–CDI Executive Committee held in Marrakesh, Morocco in 2024. This marked a new stage in its institutional development, ensuring continuity, visibility, and greater capacity to amplify the voices of youth in the global centrist movement.
