Resolution on the call for global partnership for post-pandemic green
growth and recovery toward shared prosperity

The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), as the CDI Vice-President, has relentlessly pushed for an
open and inclusive multilateralism in order to build a global community of social resilience and
shared prosperity based on the CDI principles and values.

In this regard, the CPP is committed to advancing these aspirations through international
collaboration and global partnership based on mutual trust, mutual respect and mutual
interest for positive peace and the principles of peaceful co-existence, equal sovereignty, and
open and constructive dialogue in the advancement of global peace and shared prosperity.

As suggested by the CPP, the CDI calls for a vaccine multilateralism with fair and equitable
access to COVID-19 vaccines under the spirit of “leaving no one behind”.

In addition, the CDI calls for global partnership and solidarity for the post-pandemic economic
recovery supported by the promotion of multilateralism, enhanced cross-border trade and
investment, the free flow of regional and global supply chains, international tourism and
people mobility, and the cooperation in technological innovation and digital transformation.

The CDI hereby recognises Cambodia’s efforts in promoting the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM)
and highly appreciates the Kingdom’s commitment to hosting the 13th ASEM Summit in 2021,
which in essence will be a platform for leaders of the two continents for strategic engagement.

The CDI also take note with appreciation that, despite the ongoing the COVID-19 pandemic,
Cambodia has consistently provided a strong momentum to the ASEM process and is
convinced that the ASEM Summit, under the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Shared
Growth”, will necessitate advancement of multilateralism, the post-pandemic economic
recovery and the attainment of the UN SDGs 2030.

The CDI expresses a strong determination towards an enhanced global partnership and
concerted international efforts to pool resources, mutual support and assistance, and shared
best practices in pursuing sustainable and inclusive multilateralism, including COVID-19
vaccine development and distribution, and in tackling emerging regional and global issues.

Finally, the CDI also stresses the need to enhance people-to-people connectivity,
parliamentary diplomacy and global partnership to seek pragmatic and innovative solutions
to traditional and non-traditional security challenges.”
