On 26 January we held the first Executive Committee of 2017 at the headquarters of the European Popular Party, in Brussels, with a large turnout. On hand were President Andrés Pastrana, Executive Secretary Antonio López-Istúriz, First Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, former Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Jansa, Lebanese President Amine Gemayel, and a significant number of leaders from all the regional divisions where we are active. During the session ten very important resolutions were approved, which can be reviewed on this webpage, and the Mauritius’s PMSD  (Parti Social Mauricien Social Democrate) became a member. The members of the Executive Committee held an interesting debate on Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico, and the continent in general. Terrorism, immigration, the situation in the Middle East, as well as the situations in some African countries, were also was topics of debate and reflection. Scheduling was also carried out for the year just underway and the next, the holding of the next Executive Committee meetings and others, as well as the countries where they will be held, barring unforeseen developments.
